FINALLY A CELEBRITY WHO SAYS THE REAL REASON.
In an interview where someone told her that she looked beautiful she said: “I was always beautiful, now I’m just thin.”
She is actually Jesus reincarnated.
Stores of a New England regional supermarket chain are cleared out as employees and customers demand reinstatement of their recently ousted CEO, a leader in the community.
effective feminism is realizing that every struggle is not your own and that you can’t always relate
We’re nearing the end of a week of strong protests for Market Basket. For anyone not following along, please read this. And please consider signing the petition, as customer voices are the strongest force at our disposal. Arty T. Demoulas has done SO much for this company and we want him back as our CEO for the above and beyond job he’s done so far to help us employees.
There’s going to be one more rally, one more final push Friday, July 25th at 10 Main Street in Tewksbury, Massachusetts at 9 AM. If you are in the New England area and can get up that early and are able to, please, PLEASE drop by to show your support for all the employees there, to show that we will not stand for corporate greed, that we are fighting against something we can change.
Senators are backing us. The New Hampshire governor are backing us. Attorneys, vendors, the media are behind us. All of the associates, ALL of the employees at ground level in all 71 stores are behind this movement. Most of the customers are behind us, and they are the strongest voice in all of this, as they are the ones who directly are hurting Arthur S. and his Board of Directors through their wallet. Customers have the strongest voice by continuing this boycott for a week.
If we don’t win this, hundreds of thousands will suffer the consequences. Part-time employees will lose their jobs. Full time employee benefits will be cut back and they’ll lose the generous profit sharing we all fought so hard for. The store will definitely suffer higher prices, which means poorer folk who depended on our lower prices will suffer greatly and may not be able to buy food for their families. Communities who have blossomed because of Arty T.’s touch will suffer and wither at the hands of Arthur S.’s greed. All for what- the meager profit for a few select shareholders and CEOs while selling out the little guys. Employees. Customers. Communities.
The Board meets Friday at 4 PM. Do everything in your power to back Market Basket’s employees to getting our old CEO back. Please consider coming to the rally. Please tweet about this Friday. Please blog about this Friday. Show your support on Facebook Friday. Sign the petition. Tell everyone you know to sign the petition.
We have a chance to slap greed and modern capitalism in the face. Let’s make it a slap that makes the entire nation can feel and talk about.
Many stores in my area have already closed their doors. It is very likely I won’t have a job there to go to this weekend, as our store may be closing as well since we don’t have any trucks coming in to stock our store. I went in today on my day off to see how things were going, and shelves are barren, there are few employees working, and even fewer customers.
My mom, my sister, and I all work at Market Basket. My mom and I are some of the lucky ones. She works for the State of NH and Market Basket is just her job on the side. I work at the Liquor Commission as well as Market Basket. We aren’t totally dependent on our jobs at Market Basket. My sister isn’t so lucky, and she has a 3 year old daughter to care for. Job cuts and hour cuts are on the line. There isn’t anyone at headquarters, and unless you have direct deposit (another thing my mom and I are lucky we signed up for), it’s very likely that you will not get paid tomorrow.
This is totally out of control.
So I’ve seen a whole bunch of posts about body positivity. And it would be great, but they’re really bad at actually representing different body types; big girls in particular. So I’ve drawn a comparison.
I’m tired of seeing posts that totally miss the point. Those posts are supposed to make you feel good about your body. But it’s hard for bigger girls to feel good about themselves if they’re represented by women that aren’t big. Fat is okay. But here’s some things that people almost always ignore when drawing bigger ladies:
- Stretch marks
And some misconceptions/ common mistakes:
- Larger breasts ( a LOT larger)
- Wider hips
- Same size waist as girls with less body fat
I’m going to put it bluntly: I’m sick of seeing fatter girls be misrepresented. I’m tired of seeing posts getting glory for drawing bigger girls when they don’t. I have yet to see a body positivity post that shows cellulite, stretch marks, folds, and spillage. These things are real, and they’re beautiful.
So try and remember these things next time you try and represent fat girls. Because if you’re not thinking about the “ugly” stuff, you’re doing it wrong.
if you think all boobs are supposed to be perky and big with perfectly centered nickel-sized nipples you probably have never actually seen a boob in real life because boobs are diverse as frick
And people laugh when I tell them women are still invisible in this world."
Things I did not know, but should.
i’ve got 99 problems and being a decaying organism that’s born to die in a society run by money that i can’t escape is one of them
do you need a hug
i think we all need a hug
how is this a real show
that one wasn’t
I enjoy the confusion that Supernatural causes to people who don’t watch Supernatural.
before I watched supernatural i thought this was the gag reel
how is this bit NOT a real show?
It’s a real part of the show, but it wasn’t the real show.
Ah, that clears things up.
